Not Going to Stop Praying Yet...

So after reading ZRecommends post that I mentioned in my previous post, I decided to head on over to the Etsy forums to see what the response was to the Energy and Commerce Committee's letter to Chairman Waxman. I usually spend a bit of time in the forums, but since I'm not in Corvallis this week to fill shop orders, I haven't stopped in as much.

Anyways... found this forum thread entitled "Important Update We are being heard, but this is not over." Here's the leadoff post from Etsy Admin Matt:

I just received a copy of a letter sent from Congressmen Joe Barton and George Radonovich to The Honorable Henry A. Waxman, Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

They have received 1000s of letters and emails, and are citing the cause of the independent producer. They are calling for a hearing to advocate a delay in implementation of the law, a "fine tuning" of the policies.

That said, nothing has changed yet! More than ever you need to keep those Emails and Calls coming to Henry Waxman and the Committee on Energy and Commerce coming!

Before emailing: Read this great blog post by Kathleen at Fashion-Incubator

Whether you are a seller of handmade products for children or not, Kathleen Fasanella's post over at Fashion Incubator has some good points about the runaround we may be getting from Washington. Let's keep the pressure up on Congress to actually DO something about all this!
